4503-4006 Etherchannel

All:

I completed a network cutover this weekend, but had an issue with one etherchannel. All of my etherchannels between my 4503 and 4506' worked fine - I only had a problem with my connection to my 4006. Is it possible to form an etherchannel between a switch with IOS (4503) and an older switch with CAT OS (4006)? As weird as it sounds, I was unable to get past my 4503 with channeling on in the 4006. Once I removed the channel I was fully operational...hmmm.. So as of now I only have the one gig link to the 4503 - I removed my second gig link. Thoughts anyone?

Thanks in advance for any feedback...

Hi,

What Sup engines are you using? OS versions?

Are you using LACP(802.3ad) or PAgP? Are you running the same etherchannel protocol on both switches?

4503 - Sup IV 12.1(19)EW1 - IOS

4006 - Sup III 5.5(4) - CAT OS

Using PAgP
