I have two 4507R switches cross connected in two locations , I have had a problem at both locations at different times.
The network in general has a slowdown. If i ping across the network with small packets it works fine, if I use extended ping with large packet sizes the pings start to fail. The only solution is to reload one of the catalsy switches - i think it fortunate that I have reloaded the right ones as it all seems to recover and large pings then work.
