4507R (sup IV) switch 802.1Q Tunneling

we have cat4507R switches with supervisor engine IV. and i wonder if our swithes support 802.1Q tunneling?

i couldn't find the commands needed to enable 802.1q tunneling in the interface configuration mode.

do i have to enable some other thing to use 802.1q tunneling on 4507R?

thaks

Re: 4507R (sup IV) switch 802.1Q Tunneling

Interesting question. A press release (http://newsroom.cisco.com/dlls/2004/prod_012004.html) from last month refers to new 802.1q support in the 4500 series, but I can't find any other references to it other than an IOS bulletin (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps1838/prod_bulletin09186a00801f7b42.html) from last week which refers to it being supported in Supervisor V only, which I didn't know existed and can't find any other mentions of.

"Cisco Catalyst 4500 Series Supervisor Engine V (WS-X4516)

The Cisco Catalyst 4500 Series Supervisor Engine V supports up to 96 Gbps of Layer 2-4 switching and 72 millions of packets per second (mpps) of performance. Existing Cisco Catalyst 4500 Series supervisor engines (II-Plus, III, and IV) support 64 Gbps and 48 mpps. Other enhancements include 802.1Q tunneling, broadcast and multicast suppression (storm control) in hardware, and support for four active uplinks on redundant supervisor engine configurations. The Cisco Catalyst 4500 Series Supervisor Engine V, when deployed in a Cisco Catalyst 4510R chassis, offers port scalability for resilient and higher density wiring closets, Layer 3 distribution points, and large branch office deployments."
