5000 to 6500 migration:Problem with error disabled ports

We have recently migrated from Cat 5000's with 10 megabit switch ports to 6500 with 10/100 ports. very sporadically we are having problems with workstations causing ports to go into an error disabled state. We have tried upgrading NICs, updating workstation drivers etc...

Not using auto-detect seems to help, but we would prefer not to do this because of a mixture of 10 /100 workstations in the network.

Are there any known issues with the WS-X6148-RJ-21 modules as it relates to workstation connectivity?

Thanks

Ports will errdisable on a 6500 if a duplex mismatch exists. I believe this feature can be overidden but the real fix is to make sure both sides are set to auto, especially the workstation.
