Hi,
Could someone provide me some helpful hint about which module to use with a SUP 720???
Is it possible to use the gigabit "classic" modules using Centralized CEF??? If yes, these module will connect direct to Backplane of the SUP720 or ONLY to the shared 32Gbps present in the chassis???
Which performance in Mpps should I expect ???
What are the new Gigabit module that must been used with SUP720 ???

The following URL is good Q&A on the 720 which covers the different types of line cards and their performance:

Hi, thanks for the info...
but reading the Paper I've find out some data that when compared to other performance docs, states different value:
Using SUP720 with a CEF256 module like (WS-X6516A-GBIC) on your doc states that performance will be up to 30Mpps but in the Into site of SUP720 states: Centralized forwarding (CEF) at 48Mpps/720Gbps...
Which of the two values are the correct one ???
Ther will be difference between a CEF256 Module + DFC3 and a DCEF module with a DFC 3 integrated ???
