In a 6509 with redundant sup 720's what is necessary to make them failover seamlessly(or as close to it as possible? Is there any specific configuration needed?

Thanks

For native IOS, the best we have is SRM with SSO redundancy mode.

Re: 6500 with redundant sup engines

Hello,

I am using the same switch and modules.

I have configured SSO - statful switchover. It's performance is good.

use the conf

redundancy

mode sso

main-cpu

auto-sync running-config

auto-sync standard

Default is RPR on switch.
