If you can assign a multicast mac address to the virtual IP, what you can do is
a) Configure a static ARP entry on the default router. Example: "arp 1.1.1.1 0100.4444.5555"
If you assign a multicast MAC address to a unicast IP, you must configure a static ARP entry for it on the router.
b) Then configure a static multicast MAC entry on the switch. Example " set cam permanent 01-00-44-44-55-55 3/1,3/4,3/6"
Doing this will not disable MLS. Actually i'm not even sure its even possible to disable mls no matter what you end up doing.
