6506 - SUP720-3B - Ip routing

For the moment, we don't want to active routing on this 6506. I enter the command no ip routing + ip default-gateway ... and it works fine

Pb : When i reload the switch, ip routing is active automatiquely !!!

Is this a bug or a bad configuration from my part ?

Hi,

Did you save the configuration?? You need to save your running configuration to your startup configuration! You can do the same by entering either of the following commands:

- copy run start

or

- write

Hi there,

When you have saved it issue the command "show start" to check the startup config and to make sure that your command is in there.

If for some reason it isn't working, then you can always take the ip addresses off the vlans except for the management one. Then it'll have nothing to route with!!
