6509 e-series or not e-series

I'm working on a network upgrade project and currently have a pair of 6509's at the core. To successfully perform the planned upgrades I require e-series models. The problem is that I'm not sure if the current switches are e-series or not. Is there a simple way to determine the difference?

Re: 6509 e-series or not e-series

Hi Brendan

You should be able to get this from "sh ver" eg. extracts from sh ver on some of our switches.

Non-E chassis

cisco WS-C6509 (R7000) processor (revision 2.0) with 458720K/65536K bytes of memory

E chassis

cisco WS-C6509-E (R7000) processor (revision 1.3) with 458720K/65536K bytes of memory
