Re: 6509 ios upload

Switch cannot directly load the IOS from TFTP server. You will need to copy the file to onboard bootflash or compact flash and change the boot variables to point to the new file and reload. The following tech tip should help

Re: 6509 ios upload

Here are the show command outputs , can you have a look and let me know what needs to be done next.

If I have messed up completely , is there a way I could delete everything and load again.

I just need to load this into my 6509 :

s3223-entservicesk9_wan-mz.122-18.SXF5.bin

ASAP.

Router#sh bootvar

BOOT variable = s3223-entservicesk9_wan-mz.122-18.SXF5.bin,1;n,1;s3223-ipbasek9-

mz.122-18.SXF.bin,1;

CONFIG_FILE variable does not exist

BOOTLDR variable =

Configuration register is 0x2102

Standby is not present.

Router#sh bootflash:

-#- ED ----type---- --crc--- -seek-- nlen -length- ---------date/time--------- n
