I have a 6509 with 2 x MSFC2 cards installed. We had a power outage and the following happend:
The Cat6509 did not start properly, the 1st PFC2-MSFC2 module was in fault and the second one was okay. When logging onto the console port The 1st PFC2-MSFC2 card was in ROMMON mode this was manually booted it and we got a "bad log" message. But the 1st module was now back ok (LEDs and SHOW MODULE command). Unfortunately, performance was very poor, especially on IPX at the time of the connection of the clients.
- At this time, routing was then active (HSRP) on the 1st module and switching on the second module.
- 1st module was de-inserted again but things did not improve at all.
- Then, 1st module was put in back and I removed the second module and this put everything back in proper operation. That is where we are right now.
Does any one have any Ideas !!
Regards
Paul

Check with Cisco to see if there are any known issues. Seems a little strange.

I agree, open a TAC case. if proper information was not collected during the whole issue, there is slight chance that 100 % explanation can be achieved unless ofcourse TAC has seen such a behaviour or failure scenario before.
