6509 VS 7206 in SNA performance

Hi All

I want survey a DLSW peer Router , But i don't know which is best performance in SNA envrioment

I think 6509+SUP720 is better than 7206 in the light of IP throughput , But i don't know in SNA envrioment , Which is best performance

Please reference the DLSW performance whitepaper at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/sw/iworksw/ps2474/products_white_paper09186a008007ce75.shtml. A sup720 was not tested for this but can be excrated but a NPE-300 clearly beat out a MSFC.

Since DLSW is a process switched event, it will utilize CPU and memory resources based upon the number of frames per second that is carried and not on the number of peers or circuits. But with today's router's capabilities, you will not encounter any problems until you start getting into large numbers of SNA frames.
