6509 write memory cmd

Biggner....

When i try to write to memory it gives me an error saying I need to be in text mode. ???

Does the 6509 auto save to memory? What's the proper procedure for saving any changes? Thanks.

Re: 6509 write memory cmd

CAT OS saves config each time you hit the "enter" key. However for larger configs there is an option to use "text" mode opposed to default "binary" mode. If the mode is text, you'll need to save config using "write mem"
