6513 all ethernet ports amber

A 6513 that has all ethernet ports amber except those with cables connected with active hosts which show green. show modules reveals all modules are OK. The 6513 is running fine. All other LEDs (system, etc) are green.

Just curious as to why all the ethernet ports are amber that don't have anything connected to them. Have any of you guys seen something like that before?

Module problems aside, I've only seen disabled ports colored amber. Are the unused ports disabled, perhaps?

Hi,

aren't you using dynamic VLAN port assignment (VMPS)?

If yes, ports with nothing connected to them are amber - no VLAN assigned.
