!700 Series DHCP Issue

I have a customer that has a 1700 series router, and it seems that broadcast traffic ie DHCP cannot get thru to the other side of the router, requiring static IP's for everyone on the other side. It only effects the site where this router is installed, so I believe it imminates from that. Any thoughts?

Have you configured the interface command

'ip helper-address '

to allow the DHCP broadcasts to go past that router?
