Hi all, I've been trying to get a 7200 to recognise the above PA.

I've tried several Kboot images (12.1(8a)E, 12.2(2)T and 12.2(8)T5) various IOS's from 12.1(14)E to 12.2(8)T, T1-5 with no luck.

I/O controller is a 2FE/E and processor is a NPE400

PA has been RMA'd to no effect.

Any ideas?

To continue your PA-MC-8TE1+ port adapter installation, you must configure the card type as either T1 or E1.

The controllers will not be visible till the card type is configured on the PA. After configuring card type as T1/E1 on the PA, all the controllers are created as T1/E1.

The CLI to configure card type for PA-MC-8TE1+ port adaptor as T1/E1:

On 7200,7400 Platform:

Router#

Router(config)#card type
