7206 Boot Error and could not be rebooted

Hi,

A customer has experienced the problem, his 7206 router can not reboot. It always went to RMON mode even if he reset the register nomber to 0x2102.

Here is the error message during reboot:

*** Cache Error Exception ***

Cache Err Reg = 0xa4005399

data reference, primary cache, data field error , error on SysAD Bus

PC = 0xbfc15728, Cause = 0x0, Status Reg = 0x3040d007

monitor: command "boot" aborted due to exception

System Bootstrap, Version 11.1(10) [dschwart 10], RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

C7200 processor with 32768 Kbytes of main memory

Does anyone help me out this?

It looks like it may be caused by a memory problem. This link has the same error that you listed.

I would reseat the memory and try booting the router again. If it doesn't boot up I would take out all the memory except one chip and see if it boots up. Maybe only one chip is bad.
