7206VXR Memory parity error

We have a 7206VXR(NPE300) that has started rebooting continually.

I see the following:

%ERR-1-GT64120 (PCI-0): Fatal error, Memory parity error (external)

GT=0xB4000000, cause=0x0100E283, mask=0x0ED01F00, real_cause=0x00000200

bus_err_high=0x00000000, bus_err_low=0x00000000, addr_decode_err=0x1C000000

%ERR-1-SERR: PCI bus system/parity error

%ERR-1-FATAL: Fatal error interrupt, No reloading

err_stat=0x81, err_enable=0xFF, mgmt_event=0x40

And:

Queued messages:Free space check for bootflash:crashinfo_20030722-175121 failed

(1/26822)

-Traceback= 0 0

*** System received an Error Interrupt ***

PC = 0x606e37ac, Cause = 0x20, Status Reg = 0x34008002

System returned to ROM by error - an Error Interrupt, PC 0x6000B000 at 16:30:31

System image file is "slot0:c7200-is-mz.121-5.T15.bin"

Is this an SDRAM issue?

Thanks in advance,

Michael

Re: 7206VXR Memory parity error

more than likely this is a hardware problem , either bad dram os sram on the NPE , I recommend opening a tac case . The will RMA a new card if it is deemed the card is faulty.

Cisco will replace the NPE if they deem it faulty?

At no cost?
