761 routing

Just connected 2 old 761 togrther using ppp and chap.

Ive allocated ips to both lan and isdn interfaces and from either router, I can ping both ports of the other router, but i cannot get any further.

quick example

remote site lan ip

isdn ip

central; site lan ip

isdn ip

from the central, site i can ping, but try and ping and i get no response..

Ive used sample config from the main cisco site and have tried using rip and static route addresses

eg for the remote site i used

set ip route destination gateway

and vice versa on the other site.

all my normal techy contacts for cisco say that they dont know the 761 because it doesnt use standard cisco ios.

any help greatly appreciated.

Re: 761 routing

From the remote router, can you ping If you can ping do an extended ping from the lan interface on the central router to the lan interface on the remote router, it sounds like your routing statements are set up correctly. The problem probably is with the default gateway of the hosts. Double check the default gateway on and be sure that it is set to If it is not, be sure that whatever device is configured as the gateway has the appropriate routes configured.
