Hi

We are looking to use a sonicwall 100 firewall at our central office and have

remote sites using cisco 801 routers to connect via the VPN client.

We wish to run VPN connectivity into the central office but at the moment the remote site does not seem to try to use the VPN client. PCs on the remote router can browse etc fine without using the VPN client.

Anyone know what config needs changing on the 801 to allow this sort of traffic/comms through ? WHen using a modem the vpn client kicks in fine so the 801defo seems to be the problem.

Any help much appreciated.

Hard to tell without the config. Are you using some access-list for protocol filtering, i.e. only TCP? This could be a possible cause while the VPN connection utilizes IPsec, which is at IP protocol port 50 or 51.
