Hi all,
I know that Catalyst 2960 has this feature in it's latest software release.
We have a mixed 2950 and 2960 enviroment and looking to deploy 802.1x in the network but have a problem with the Catalyst 2950 that don't (yet?) support this feature. We have a lot of devices that are not capable of 802.1x authentication.
Does anybody know when (or _if_) 802.1x MAC authentication bypass will be implemented in Catalyst 2950 software?
Gabi.

802.1x MAC authentication bypass is a feature supported in 12.2 code and 2950s do not support 12.2. So, to answer your question, no it will not be supported. Also, most 2950s are nearing end of sale.

Hope this helps.
