802.1x unattended installion Problem HOW assign the vlan

we want to install the new feature 802.1x on the lan to assign the correct vlan.

But the sysadmins install and update their win-X-systems via wake-on-lan or network boot. The problem:

how can i authenticate the system for a vlan, when no one is in front of it ? (i know i can use the default vlan option, but i think than we have an other security problem )

has someone a same problem and a good idea ?

Re: 802.1x unattended installion Problem HOW assign the vlan

Have you seen this interface command:

dot1x port-control {force-authorized | force-unauthorized | auto}

If you use the force-unauthorized option, then the port is forced to never authorize any connected client. As a result,

the port cannot move to the authorized state to pass traffic even if there is no one infront of the PC.
