A server with 2 NICs connected to the same switch

Do you think that a server with 2 NICs connected to the same switch would cause loop or other problems when configured portfast on the port? On the server, we have two options, one is fault tolerance, and the other is load balance. Appreciated!

i wouldn't think it would make a difference. i've done this before. there are 2 mac addy's, so there should be no confusion on the switches part.

We use Intel Ethersomething adapters and they have three "teaming" options, Fault tolerance, Load Balance and Cisco FEC (Fast etherchannel), the last being te best option, you probably have to configure the channel on the switch to, you will then have a 200 Mb Full Duplex connection.
