about the switch problem

who can tell me what happens if there is this architecture of two switchs connected directly with a crossing line? thanks

Hi,

Crossover cables are used to connect two switches. The crossover pinouts are 1-3 2-6 .

( Tx on switch one and RX on switch two are connected and vice-versa ).

However, if u are using uplink ports, you should use Straight Cable.

what will happen is, one switch will become the root bridge. if you use two connections. one will be put in the blocking state.
