about virtual access interface

hello ,

i configure a serial interface as ppp multilink in group 1, as well as a logical multilink interface 1, and didn't configure multilink virtual template and virtual template interface, but why a virtual access interface appear when i use command - show ip int brief?

it is a 2620XM with 12.2 ios.

Actually you don't need virtual-template interface if you have interface multilink . The virtual-access will be clonned from that multilink interface.
