Access List to prevent XOT

I am trying to stop XOT traffic from entering certain routers from a specific network without interrupting other traffic. So that other IP traffic will pass unaffected.

I have attempted to write access-lists using TCP port 1998 but will little success.

Has anyone any ideas?

Re: Access List to prevent XOT

Can you please paste your access-list and what command you used to apply it to your interface, and which interface you applied it to?

Re: Access List to prevent XOT

Sorry for the delay.

access-list 199 deny tcp host x.x.x.x any eq 1998

access-list 199 permit tcp any any

applied to seial 0/0 inbound.

This works for a while and then the isdn is triggered. This ISDN access list is as follows.

access-list 101 deny igrp any any

access-list 101 deny ip any host 255.255.255.255

access-list 101 permit ip any any

dialer-list 1 protocol ip list 101

My end goal is to deny access to a specific network (in this case network 10.0.0.0) from a series of routers. The routers will be connected via FDDI or Serial link.

Re: Access List to prevent XOT

with only that info i can only think of a static route to the isdn interface which triggers the isdn
