access list

If I put a traffic filter on an interface, would it affect all the subinterface of that interface. I will like to know if i need to put it on all the subinterface.

e.g ip access-group 100 in

Re: access list

I just testted it on 12.2.5 and the ACL on the interface does nothing to subinterfaces.

Re: access list

I've found this to be the case as well.

Re: access list

The acls applied to the physical interface will not be having any effect on the subinterface. But if you have any configurations on the main interface, that wil get affected. but if you want to restrict the traffic which are passing through the subinterfaces, you need to apply the access lists on the subinterfaces.
