access lists

On access lists do we use the tcp command before the ip if we are including a port number in the statement ? also if its a single host do I just put in ip host at the start of the statement ?

Hey Carl,

You don't need to include a port statement. If you omit the port statement, it will match all TCP packets between the specified source and destination. If you do include it, it will match only on packets with the specified port and source/destination.
