-remoote: BRI or PSTN

-nbr of users < 40.

is there special soft or hard to allow to the AS to accept calls from isdn or pstn networks?

Re: Access server choice

Can start of with 3600 series with internal mica modem + there are the as5xxx series (may be a over kill for your req).

CISCO 3640 chassis

NM-1CT1-CSU (will support ISDN calls as well as analog calls terminating on internal modems....no special sw required, configurable in IOS)

OR

NM-1FE1CT1-CSU (this gives the FE, instead of having another card for LAN connectivity)

NOTE: If you need 40 users or so at the same time will need 2CT1

NM-xDM (DMs comes in multiples of 6, ie, 6DM,12,18,24,30DM)

Thanks, Mak.

Re: Access server choice

it seems to be like if ther is a relation between NM-xB-ST and xDM.

so i think one of them could not work without the other if we want analog modem connect to BRI.

is this true?

Re: Access server choice

With the NM-xB-S/T module alone we can terminate ISDN calls on the router.

With the NM-xB-S/T & xDM we can still terminate the ISDN calls but now can also terminate the analog modem calls on the xDM that come in through the NM-xB-S/T.

Please refer to:

Thanks, Mak.
