achieving redundancy

Hi,

I want to configure a LAN to meet the requeriments of high availability of the aplication server we use. The ideia is to have something like,

2 WAN connections to 2 routers---> 2 Host/firewall ( how can I configure redundancy here?)---> 2 Switch/HUB whit redundant connections to the server.

I have a diagram how can I post it

Re: achieving redundancy

Hi

I guess the setup is something like you have two router on the same LAN Segment and each router has one WAN Connection.

For the redundandency out of the LAN i would implement HSRP.

Here the link to the config guide.

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122cgcr/fipr_c/ipcprt1/1cfip.htm

Search for HSRP.

For the way back i guess you have a dynamic routingprotocol in place.

Hope that helps

Roger
