We are using a w2k server as our v.3.2 ACS Radius Authentication. Our extenal DB source is LDAP. On 1/2/2004 the ACS services failed and no one could dial in and access our WAN. I looked at ALL the w2k events and the ACS logs to determine the failing date/time however, nothing was obvious. We could not restart the ACS services as an web/Admin or from a direct w2k login. We had to reboot the server. What's strange is that both the w2k event logs nor ACS logs show anyhting pertinent.
If w2k and the ACS is not giving sufficent information , turn on detailed logging in the ACS , This is not adviced by cisco since it can affect the performance of the ACS , but since we need details of failure its mandatory.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
