you can directly connect the new switch to the stack when the existing switch is power ON, it will not affect the switch performance.

Hi Guys,

I want to creat a stack of swutches, I have two 3560s, 2x3550, 6x3512 and few 400 and one 4500 Cisco CAT swicthes. Of course the stack will do only to my smaller swithes and not my big core switches.

what do i need to have them stacked?

Sorry guys, I have not done this before, but I have plyed a little with the stack maker using the Cisco View and thats all.

Thx,

Masood
