adding ports to an existing Etherchannel

hi,

we've got a 2 port Layer 2 etherchannel between two 6509's.

I need to add additional ports to the etherchannel as it's starting to drop packets.

The question is, can I do this live without the existing ports blocking?

thanks,

Daniel Quinlan

Re: adding ports to an existing Etherchannel

Daniel,

Add them to the channel before you connect them and turn them up and you should be able to connect them and have them be added, as a working part of your Etherchannel, without issue (Current Portchannel interface blocking, etc).

Hope this helps you,

Don
