administrative distances and routes

I hope I can word this correctly for everybody to understand.

Lets say I have a remote router(router A) connected to 2 head end routers.(routers B & C)

Router A has 2 different EIGRP processes running, one from each head end router.

Router A learns these routes

10.200.200.0/24 with a AD of 95(from router B)

10.200.0.0/16 with a AD of 90(from router C)

So my question is that if a packet is on router A's network and has a destination of 10.200.200.1, will it take router B, more specific route but higher AD, or will it take router C, less specific route, but lower AD.

Thanks for your help

The router will evaluate candidate routes in the following order:

longest match

administrative distance

metric

so in your example, the longest match will be used to route the packet even though the AD is higher.

Hope this helps
