ADSL with PPPOE on a Cisco 2600 series

Is it possible, I know it should be, to run a PPPOE connection via the DSL modem to the router? the output from the DSL modem is Ethernet.

Any help would be appreciated.

- Thanks

Re: ADSL with PPPOE on a Cisco 2600 series

2600 router can work as a PPPoE client which is connected over ethernet to the dsl modem..

That will leads to PPPoEoE connection on 2600..Its is supported after 12.2(1)T onwards ios on 2600..Here is the sample config for that.

Its the same for 2600 too..Thanks..Tejal

What if the connection does not require a client and is a bridged connection? Is this still possible over the 'standard' ethernet port?
