advanced syslog automated action option

Running RME 3.5 on Win2k. I defined a simple automated action to email me when certain syslog messages come in. Now I need to filter it to only email for a certain group of devices. In the "advanced" dialog box in the devices field I've tried listing the devices using a comma seperator. I am only getting emails from the first device on the list. How do I list the devices?

-note- I am using wildcards in the device names.

Re: advanced syslog automated action option

I did look at the help but wasn't too descriptive.. However I did find following bugs on this :

CSCdr70626

Externally found minor defect: Verified (V)

Device Names field is undocumented in Automated Action help

CSCds11921

Internally found severe defect: Unreproducible (U)

Automated action doesnt work on Win2k

CSCdv01267

Externally found moderate defect: Unreproducible (U)

Syslog -> Automated Action -> Advanced -> Pattern not working

I would definitely open a case with TAC, if you are still seeing these failures.. I have filed a bug myself where the first device in the list is missing and the rest of the devices are passed in the main device selection window.. Your seems to be the exactly opposite of that. Hope that helps..

thanks again,

Tejas
