Advantage of Catalyst 4500 series over Catalyst 4000 Series
I am planning to purchase 2 new Catalyst switch for our expansion project. Most of our swithces are 4006 which we purchased 2 years ago. Since this 4500 series is an enhancement of the 4000 series, what really are the benefits I will get if I choose to buy the 4500? By the way, I planned to include a Supervisor Engine 3 on one of this switch that I will use for inter-VLAN routing in addition to our existing 6509. Is it fine if I implement HSRP between 4000/4500 with 6509? Any suggestions would be welcomed.
