advertise default route via RIP

I am thinking this is done with:

router rip

redistribute static

Is this correct?

rip automaticlly advertises any default route in the router. all you have to do is defnie it, ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0. x.x.x.x

You use the ip default-network command to propagate the deafult route into RIP
