after shutting down SVI the status is in admin/lshutdown state

I am using a 6500 catalyst , when i shut down a (SVI)vlan the admin status is up and the line protocol becomes down, the status in the show vlan brief is admin/lshut i can reolve this only by doing a no vlan #

i am not able to reproduce this but happens in rare occasions any comments

WORKAROUUND-1

1. Remove the secured SVI interface from the MSFC. no interface VLAN x

2. Clear _ALL_ secure Firewall VLANs on the switch side clear vlan firewall-vlan

3. Add the VLANs back to the firewall set vlan firewall-vlan

4. Add back the secured SVI interface on the MSFC. interface VLAN x

in some scenario, the above workaround didn't work. Here is another workaround you can use

WORKAROUUND-2

1. Remove the secured SVI interface from the MSFC. no interface VLAN x

2. Clear all config on the switch side for the firewall module slot do "show config slot#" to save the config for step 3 tthen do "clear config slot#"

3. re-config switch for the firewall module slot paste the above saved config to the switch

4. Add back the secured SVI interface on the MSFC. interface VLAN x
