Again the Relay Agent

Sorry i ask the wrong question in the last post :

Again the question:

about the Configuring a Relay Agent on Cisco

What Protocols I need - are these Protocols all necessary for the DHCP Relay Agent and can i let out or jump Protocols ???

The list of Protocols which are rated:

> * Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) (port 69)

> * DNS (port 53), time service (port 37)

> * NetBIOS name server (port 137)

> * NetBIOS datagram server (port 138)

> * Boot Protocol (DHCP/BootP) client and server datagrams (ports 67

> and 68)

> * Terminal Access Control Access Control System (TACACS) service

> (port 49)

> * IEN-116 name service (port 42)

Hello Daniel,

you only need to configure the "ip helper-address" and to deny the forwarding of

not needed protocols enter e.g:

"no ip forward-protocol udp "

again the background is i want to avoid unnecessary traffic on our network connection so i must know which protocols i do not need in the ip helper-address i know that the ports are enabled automatically but can i let out some??? and which do you know the names
