XP client dials to a Cisco AS5300 with a static IP pool configured.

The XP client eventually times out with error 718.

The connection was terminated because the remote computer did not respond in a timely manner....................

Are you talking about ISDN dialing or Normal modem dialin,

For ISDN, while the XP client dials, give a

"debug isdn q931" on the AS5300 during off peak hours(dont use it during loaded hours), and get back with the output.

I have AS5300 running with a minor problems.

Win XP dials into my AS5300 very well - analog or mobile ISDN V.110, there is no difference in terms of client operating system.

The "minor" problem I named is described in a topic "Callback calls wrong number (adds extra digit) on AS5300 ". The essence is that doing ISDN V.110 callback client does not get a call since debug output on AS5300 shows - it has called wrong number (added extra digit at the end of the called number). But it is the same for all OSes.

So other clients don't have a problem connecting?

"sh ver" and "debug ppp neg" for an XP connection would be of interest. "debug modem" would also be of interest if the ppp debug appears to be inconclusive.
