Anyone know how to get RME to load a config from an archive to a new device

Say you have a router in the field that has been struck by lightning and a tech brings you a new router and wants you to load the config of the router that died in the feild.

You should be able to slap an IP address, telnet pass, enable pass and snmp info, plug it into the LAN and have RME manage it.

Then get the old config of the router that died from the archive and load it onto the new router.

I have not been able to do this , does anyone know if it's possible?

Re: Anyone know how to get RME to load a config from an archive

Both the routers must be in the RME Inventory in managed state before RME can do any thing on the device. So, both routers are identical in every aspect and RME has the config archived for the old router, then using ConfigEditor it can be modified and downloaded to the device. More details are in the on-line help in RME.
