Hello,
We wish to specify the SNMP admin community string in the tftpboot configuration file for an AP350 running VxWorks OS.
What is the syntax to use as it is not apparent from the command line help.

Not sure what you mean above, but are you trying to change the bootconfigReadINI on the AP?

Hello,
My previous post seems to have gone missing.
I mean that I wish to change the ini file on the tftpboot sevrer so that the SNMP admin string is common to all devices.
What is the syntax to specify it in the ini file.
For example, the trap receivers can be set as :
snmpTrapDest=
snmpTrapCommunity=
and I wish to use the same type of syntax for the SNMP Admin community.
If I need to open a TAC case as this information could be security sensitive, I am quite prepared to do this.
Rgds,
Ian.

No, this portion is hidden (suppressed in the ini config) and is not displayed in the ini file ouput due to security reasons. You don't want people to grab the whole config and see what users admin etc are configured on the AP. So, what you're looking for is not possible.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply, but is it possible to use some form of syntax in the INPUT ini file.
I understand why it is not dumped when you download the config.

Hi,
Here is the syntax you need for the input .ini file :
userMgrUserName.1=admin
userMgrPassword.1=public
userMgrCapabilities.1=31
Other examples:
userMgrUserName.2=SNMP1
userMgrPassword.2=private
userMgrCapabilities.2=31
Note that .1 or .2 are arbitary index numbers and could be .10, .20 etc ...
Rgds,
Ian
