ARP type SNAP on Ethernet

Hi,

observed in ARP-Cache

Internet 158.226.191.136 2 0050.042c.a753 ARPA Ethernet0/0

sometimes it changes to

Internet 158.226.191.136 2 0050.042c.a753 SNAP Ethernet0/0

Any idea what could causes this.

Thanks in Advance

Hubert

Re: ARP type SNAP on Ethernet

I have seen this myself, and do not know the cause. In my case it was an IBM Mainframe OSA who's arp entry was being flipped around like that. What is the device associated with that IP?
