Level 1

I am operating a large dial up network containing about 100 AS5300 & AS5800, I noticed that many AS5300

make a restart because of the following

MD2-C31#show context

System was restarted by bus error at PC 0xFD0110DF, address 0x0 at 17:08:19 UTC Wed Jan 30 2002

Fault History Buffer:

Software (C5300-IS-M), Version 12.1(8), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

Compiled Tue 17-Apr-01 03:33 by kellythw

Signal = 10, Code = 0x10, Uptime 00:03:54

Is there any solutions for this.

That error indicates that the router got reloaded because of "bus error". Try to get the output of "sh stack" to get more information from a router like that.Feed that output of "sh stack" at

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/Stackdecoder/stackdecoderinput.pl

this tool "stack decoder" will decode that and inform you the results. Also you can take a help from cisco's TAC engineers by opening a tac case at

http://www.cisco.com/tac
