AS5300 w/PPP and SecureID

I have recently implemented a RSA ACE server and configured Cisco ACS

with an external SDI database. I can authenticate using the token passcode,

however, after I succesfully authenticate, I must manually type in PPP

(in the terminal window from a DUN client) to complete the connection.

Is there a command on the AS5300 that can remove this additional step?

Thanks,

Re: AS5300 w/PPP and SecureID

You need to have the following command under the line config.

autocommand ppp negotiation

..With that the PPP will be started, once the authentication is successful. In the terminal window, you will see some chars like garbage will be displayed. This is the indication that Access Server has started the PPP..Now you do need to hit "continue" or "Done" in the terminal window to move forward.

OK,

Should the AUTOCOMMAND PPP Negotiation be configured for the Async interfaces? If I place this command on the line(VTY) will this only affect telnet?

Thanks,

"autocommand ppp nego" under VTY lines? Are you wanting to do V.120 ? Didn't sound like from your original problem description earlier though. An autocommand does not go under async interfaces. Either put that under tty/vty lines depending what you are doing or you could also associate a username/password to an autocommand.
