AS5350 & Cisco DialOut Utility

I am currently trying to set up Cisco's DialOUt utility using an as5350. I am able to make outgoing calls using the modems on our as5350. The DialOut utility suggests using port 7001 to connect to the modem. The problem is that I have to use port number 2218 or 2219 to make the call successfully. When I try to use port 7001, the call fails and I get a message saying "no carrier". Any suggestions?

port 7001 is TELNET binary mode to a rotary group; to use dialout, you should use binary mode. Ensure that your lines are all configured with "rotary 1", that may explain your problem.

If you still have problems, you might consult this page:

Thanks for the response. All my lines are configured with rotary 1. Is there anything else I need to add on an as5350?

Whats your complete config under the tty lines? Make sure you have modem inout, rotary 1, transport input all in there.
