Hi all,

I've got two Cisco 7206 with a PA-A3 DS3 in each. I did a back to back connection and I can ping or traceroute no problem, but othe traffic does not go. What I'm trying to find out is that, is it possible to do or do I really need an ATM switch or if it is possible, what would be the best way to approach it.

Here's a copy of my config for the PA-A3 cards:

Router1

interface ATM4/0

no ip address

no ip route-cache

no ip mroute-cache

atm clock INTERNAL

atm scrambling cell-payload

atm framing cbitplcp

atm uni-version 3.1

no atm ilmi-keepalive

no atm address-registration

!

interface ATM4/0.1 point-to-point

description VBR-nrt to Paris 2Meg

ip address 20.0.0.1 255.0.0.0

no ip route-cache

pvc 1/100

vbr-nrt 2000 1500 94

!

interface ATM4/0.2 point-to-point

description UBR to Paris 8Meg

ip address 30.0.0.1 255.0.0.0

no ip route-cache

pvc 1/101

ubr 10000

Router2

interface ATM4/0

no ip address

no ip route-cache

no ip mroute-cache

atm scrambling cell-payload

atm framing cbitplcp

atm uni-version 3.1

no atm ilmi-keepalive

no atm address-registration

!

interface ATM4/0.1 point-to-point

description VBT-nrt to Ottawa 2Meg

ip address 20.0.0.2 255.0.0.0

no ip route-cache

pvc 1/100

vbr-nrt 2000 1500 94

!

interface ATM4/0.2 point-to-point

description UBR to Ottawa 8Meg

ip address 30.0.0.2 255.0.0.0

no ip route-cache

pvc 1/101

ubr 10000

I can ping in a setup like this:

PC-router/atm-atm/router-pc

If I try telnet or http or ftp etc... nothing works.

Actually, this config works fine. The problems were with the UNIX server which was not set up properly.

Everything is working fine now.
