ATM PVC Trap support and the 'oam-pvc manage' config statement

We are running a 7206 with IOS version 12.1(15). One particular sub interface is configured as follows:

interface ATM2/0.1 point-to-point

ip address 164.72.xx.xx 255.255.255.128

atm pvc 18 18 18 aal5snap

ipx network 47B

I wish to configure the 'oam-pvc manage' statement with the existing atm pvc described above so we can get trap notifications from 'atm pvc 18 18 18 all5snap'. We have been unsuccessful in our attempts to date. How do we do this? Any help would be great ... Thanks ... Al Rodarmel

You might want to reconfigure your pvc command in the following new fashion...

interface ATM2/0.1 point-to-point

ip address 164.72.xx.xx 255.255.255.128

ipx network 47B

pvc 18/18

encapsulation aal5snap

protocol ip broadcast

oam-pvc manage

When you enter the command "PVC /" you will see the router prompt change from (config-if)# to (config-if-atm-vc)#
