I have placed access list on the snmp community on the MSFCs on all the 6509 switches to stop Authentication failure traps being received and including disabling the auth trap on all switches. All 3524XL switches connected to 6509s have access-list on snmp community. Not sure why the messages are still appearing.
Can anyone help ?

Reasons/One of the two conditions -
1) Host trying SNMP get/set using wrong community
2) Host trying to SNMP get/set using a community for which ACL is configured that forbids access. Also look at CSCdv04268

Is there a way to capture this to find where the problem is ? I have checked all community strings on CW2000 and HPOV and devices.
Also I cant find CSCdv04268 on the site can you provide url to release note that has this ?
Thanks
